Two Pages sells a linen blend called Liz. On 19 September 2026 that one fabric carried forty-three public product pages on the brand’s own site: seven roman and balloon shades, twenty-one curtain and drapery listings, eight board-mounted valances, four cornice boards, a tablecloth, a table runner and a colour booklet. Forty are window treatments, and fifteen of the forty start at the same $59.99. Beside them sit thirty-eight further product pages, one per colourway, each selling a fabric sample at $0.00.
None of that is hidden, and none of it is strange for a workroom that cuts to order. It does mean the catalogue is not forty products. It is one cloth offered forty ways, and the decision in front of you is not which product but which header and which mechanism on a fabric you have already chosen. Read the Two Pages curtains catalogue that way and its prices stop being confusing.

That has a consequence most buyers would want and few would predict. A panel bought for the living room and a shade bought for the kitchen, ordered months apart from two different pages, arrive in the same cloth at the same weight. Coordinating a whole floor is normally the hard part of buying window treatments, because it means matching two cloths bought from two sellers. Here it is the default, and it costs nothing.
The same structure makes the catalogue look deeper than it is. In the roman shade collection, 119 listings resolve to 52 fabric codes once the fold, header and mechanism suffixes are stripped from the SKUs, and twenty-six of those codes carry more than one listing. Take the two numbers together: twelve of the 119 have a generic SKU, so 52 is an order of magnitude rather than a headcount.

Before you order a shade in a named fabric, search the merchant for that same fabric name and compare every listing it appears in, side by side, at the same width and drop.
A merchant rarely sells one fabric once. The same cloth is usually listed several times, one listing per mechanism, and the listings are written by different hands on different days. Two of them can carry a different maximum drop, a different head rail, a different set of lift options and a different size table, with nothing on either page telling you the other exists. Pulling them up together is the only way to see what the mechanism is actually costing you, and the only way to catch the one that cannot be ordered at your window.
A practical step, not a product claim. Nothing here depends on which brand you buy.

The Figure on the Listing Belongs to the Smallest Window It Accepts
$59.99 buys a panel or a shade in base configuration. The size is not in it, the header is not in it, the lining is not in it. That is normal for made-to-order work. What is worth knowing first is how this merchant charges for each, because one of the answers is unusual.
The roman shade listing publishes its own size rates, which is rare enough to be worth using. Width is charged at $1.00 an inch from 23 to 46 inches. At 47 the scale restarts at $157.00, then runs at $2.00 an inch to 63. Height is $0.50 an inch throughout. Most listings build a roman shade’s price out of sight instead.
Read that as geometry rather than arithmetic. One inch of extra width, 46 to 47, adds $87.00, more than the shade’s own starting price. A pair of windows either side of a chimney breast, one at 45 inches and one at 48, will not cost anything like what the listing suggested, and nothing warns you. On an outside mount you choose the overlap, so you choose which side of the step you land on. Measuring the opening is not enough: what is billed is the width you order.

The options run the other way. Lining is a flat fee, $15.00 for privacy, $20.00 for room darkening, $25.00 for blackout, and the amount does not move with the size of the shade. Trim borders are flat too, unusually so: eighteen designs, every one of them $69.00. A motorised lift is $153.99, two and a half times the shade it drives.
Flat fees reward big windows and punish small ones. On a tall shade, $25.00 for blackout is the cheapest thing on the order; on a bathroom window it is half the base price again. The width step works the opposite way. Together they mean the best value here is a tall, heavily specified shade that stays under 46 inches wide.

The Spec Sheet Thins Out When the Fabric Becomes a Shade
Of the forty-three listings carrying the Liz name, thirty-six print the 350 gsm figure and seven do not. The seven are not scattered: they are exactly the listings whose SKU starts with RS-, every roman shade and the balloon shade. All forty-three print the composition. The tablecloth in this cloth publishes the weight the roman shade omits.

We are not carrying the number across. It belongs to the listings that print it, so what this page says is the plain version: Two Pages does not publish a fabric weight for its Liz roman shade.
The gap lands badly. Weight is the one published figure that predicts how a cloth behaves folded, and a roman shade is a cloth that lives folded: a heavy blend holds a deep, square fold and stacks into a firm band, a light one creases soft and sags between the rods. On the curtain listing you can plan for that. On the shade listing of the same cloth you are buying the colour and taking the fold on trust.

It is not only the Liz pages. Two shades here start at the same $68.99. The Aura cellular gives 100% polyester at 225 gsm, a honeycomb cell of about an inch and an aluminium-coated interior. The Brio zebra gives neither fibre nor weight, though it does print what almost nobody prints: a side light gap of 1 1/2 inches, so a 60 inch opening keeps an inch and a half of uncovered glass by construction.
The Aura page then contradicts itself on the one dimension that decides whether a shade fits. Its description asks for a 2 inch minimum inside-mount depth, 2 1/4 flush; the specification block on the same page asks for 2 1/4. The width deduction appears twice too, 1/4 inch in one place and 3/8 in the other, both left to the buyer. A quarter inch is the difference between a shade that drops clean in a reveal and one that binds on the casing: take the wider figure, and subtract it yourself.

Two other listings make the point. Half Price Drapes sells a Performance Linen panel that is 100% polyester. Neutral Curtains sells a Lily Linen shade at 80% polyester and 20% linen, weighs it at 350 gsm, and lists it in the colour codes 1908-0 to 1908-37.
Those are the Liz codes. Two merchants selling the same numbered colourways at the same published weight, and they do not agree on what the cloth is: one says ten per cent linen, the other twenty. Neither is lying, and neither can be taken as the truth of the fabric. So the composition line cannot arbitrate here, and what is left to judge a panel on is the weight, the drop and the price, which is the harder way to read a fabric line.

One listing here uses the word literally. The Patti panel is 100% Belgian linen at 248 gsm and starts at $79.99, twenty dollars above the blend. That twenty dollars does not buy a better fall, it buys a different one: a hundred grams lighter and made of a fibre that creases, the Patti moves and rumples where the blend hangs as a heavy straight column. If the crumpled linen look is what you pictured, no amount of money spent on the blend will get you there. If a tailored panel that holds its pleat is what you pictured, the real linen is the wrong purchase.
Care follows the construction rather than the fibre, the reverse of what most buyers assume: the blend is the only curtain in this range that may be washed at all, while the 100% Belgian linen is dry-clean only. Both pages then warn that steaming and drying may shift the dimensions, on panels the brand already gives a one inch length tolerance. It is the clearest case in this range of care following the make-up.
Worth the twenty minutes
Read the item code before you read the fabric name
On any listing you are considering, find the item or colour code printed on the variant, not the poetic name at the top, and write it down. Then search that code on the merchant's own site, and on any other merchant you are shopping.
A fabric name is written by the merchandising team and a code is written by the mill. The name changes from listing to listing and sometimes from merchant to merchant; the code does not. Two listings that share a code share a cloth, whatever their titles say, and a listing whose code you cannot find anywhere else is genuinely its own fabric. It is the cheapest identity check there is, and it takes a minute.

The contrast is sharper on hardware. Neutral Curtains sells no rod and no track of any kind: its whole hardware collection is four items, a no-drill bracket, pin hooks, rod eyelet rings and a bottom rail. Half Price Drapes sells no track either, and no slatted blind at all. If what you are hanging needs a motor or a traverse track, two of the three merchants cannot complete the order.

The Lark track is where that shows. It is $205.99 with the motor in the listed price, the only product here whose headline figure includes the thing that does the work. It takes 110 pounds of curtain, comes in three fixed lengths, and needs four inches of ceiling clearance for a single track, 7 7/8 for a double. Elsewhere in the range the motor is an option, priced as one.
Those clearance figures decide the ceiling before the fabric does. Four inches is a plain detail; nearly eight for a double track means a bulkhead or a recessed pelmet, drawn and built before anything is ordered. The published load says the same from the other end: 110 pounds is a heavy pair of lined panels on a long run, so the track is sized for the job rather than for a bedroom window. The limit is one the page prints itself, and it is the reason to read the whole listing: the Zigbee gateway it needs is not in the box, and neither are the panels.
